MISSION

We the staff of Sabah Wildlife Department, is committed to the conservation of intact natural resources and diverse and ensures that the country wildlife’s resources used are sustainable and just. 

OBJECTIVE

Preserve the state’s fauna to ensure that all species will remain in their natural habitat and manage wildlife resources in order to maximize its role in the socio-economic development of the people of Sabah in perpetuity.

FUNCTION

The main function of SWD is the enforcement of the Wildlife Conservation Enactment 1997 and the maintenance and management of wildlife resources.
